I don't think this idea is particularly new.... for those people who say they wouldn't ever consider agreeing to this in their computer... suppose the computer were leased to you for a pretty low amount a macbook for $35/month??) or even free? Or suppose your broadband connection was free, in exchange for the ads? I think a lot of people would go along with it, especially for that second or third computer in the house. What got me thinking along these lines was a few years ago when phone rates were going up and up, I wondered if people would be willing to take cheaper service if a commercial was added to the beginning or the end of every call.
