'Anyone else watching this?
http://www.hulu.com/watch/70427/fullmeta...-alchemist
It's a remake of Fullmetal Alchemist. Allegedly, it parallels the manga more closely than the old 'toon.
I've caught up with it on Hulu. At first, I was just letting it play for background noise since it seemed to be basically the same stuff I'd already seen in the first series. I noticed they spelled out the rules of alchemy a bit more logically and they closed up a few plot holes from the other one. (I still have issues with calling what they do "alchemy"...)
In episode 5 they took a big departure from the original 'toon. The gap has been widening. By episode 15, it was going off in a way different direction and now at episode 26 I think it's heading for a more satisfying resolution than the first one.
If you enjoyed the first series, check out the new one.
...
BTW: There's new Inuyasha on Hulu, too.

Adult Swim is so lame lately (and I don't get it anymore anyway), it's nice to see these alternatives available.
