I have an old set of Ping Eye2 BeCu clubs, complete with 1 iron (yes, I said 1 iron and L wedge). This the copper color set all with matching serial numbers. I had used this clubs for over 20 years until I got fitted for a new set of Pings two years ago.

The old set is worth more money than the new set that replaced. Now they sit in the basement with my other old treasured crap.

Its not a loop hole, the Pings are grandfathered in, under the new rules.
The issue is Phil and others never played ping clubs, so thats the complaint.
I see no issue here at all, the clubs are legal. FYI for the average weekend golfer, your clubs are exempt for a few more years.

i could never see why people fuss so much over their clubs, I've never had a problem picking up this or that and playing better than those that spend $$$$$ on clubs.

Not only that - but as per rules, they are manufactured to only be capable of hitting a ball so far, and
the balls are made to only go so far when hit with a specific amount of force.

With those limits, and everyone adhering, there's a lot of slung bullshiit out there and people justifying
their own spending that is a joke, when the standards don't change.

It's like DIAMONDS going on sale so the NEWER models can come in. What... they are a million years younger?
