what does it mean when your VIN doesn't exist?

Perhaps it doesn't show up on carfax b/c its a gray market car imported to the UAE from Germany.

My impression in that car donations tend to go through clearing-house centers, so it's possible that the bureaucracy will still choke on the lack of a carfax verification even with the valid old.mbclub.ru database entry.

You may have better luck with a local junkyard dealer who has actual hands-on experience with real cars -- he might even pay you something for the car.

Like the young Vito Andolini in GFII, the name VIN was changed when the car stepped off the boat at Ellis Island Port of Long Beach and they couldn't pronounce it.

problem solved. they are coming to get the car tomorrow. apparently as long as the number on the car matches the dmv record, they'll take it. I will be so glad to be rid of this junker.
