NO Senseo For You!!
#1
Got this msg from Senseo re the latest 'promo' http://forums.macresource.com/read/1/874...#msg-87493 :

Thank you for your interest in SENSEO®. Unfortunately, the offer for the free SENSEO® coffee machine was only extended to eligible users from a previous promotion.

However, if you act now, for a limited time we are offering a $50 SENSEO® Reward Prepaid Visa® Card to the first 5,000 customers who purchase a SENSEO® Coffee Pod System and participate in the program through a mail-in offer.

Even if you are not one of the 5,000 consumers, you will still receive a $20 SENSEO® Reward Prepaid Visa Card for purchases made before 5/31/06.

PASS!
(This reads like a 'Tiger-Direct' deal.)

I got the same e-mail... Even though I considered running to Target to see if they had the discontinued color on clearance... then going to Costco and getting a black one w/ 80 pods... I decided me Krupps coffee maker w/ favor adjusment is already paid for and "f*** it"... I will get one sooner or later but I hate rebates...

Trust me, you aren't missing anything. I got a free Senseo last year when they were doing their mall trade-in campaign. The only pods I've found half way decent are the Maxwell House Hazelnut. The Senseo brand pods make coffee that tastes like it came from a hospital vending machine. Blech.

So true Chupa, so true.
Those Senseo pods have kind of a plastic crossed with disinfectant aftertaste.

THe Senseo French Vanilla wasn't bad, the Dark Roast was a bit bitter. The Melitta pods aren't half-bad. I've read good things about Archer Farms pods, Target now carries the Archer Farms brand, I'm waiting to exhaust my Melitta supply before ehading out to Target.

The Senseo machine has not had that great of a reputation, The Bunn and Krupps HomeCafe pod machines are quite highly rated. I just would have used the Senseo at work when I wanted my own flavor of coffee.

Oh well. I'm not going to do the rebate thing.

Your expectations are universally too high.

If you had selected the "Tastes Like Yellow Anti-Bacterial Floor Cleaner Roast" - you'd
all be raving about it.
