I'd join up with Team 38910...but that's just my opinion. : ) Their top two folders are usually pushing more than the entire 48057 team, per 24 hours! Add Paul F. into the mix, and it's over.

If you go with team 48057 you stand a chance of being in the top 20 still, I started in January and am #6, about to go into #5 position for the second time.

We're all are fighting for the same cause but with team 48057 your not going to perpetually be a Newbie.

Actually this is the reason all the under 60,000 point "Newbie's" from 38910 should cut loose and jump to 48057 where you're not just a drop in the ocean with stats down on page 2 somewhere.

Eventually, there will be an equalizer and there will be several large 'leaders' on the team, and everybody else will be playing second fiddle to catch up (which may never happen - and people will be a "perpetual newbie"), and any other 'newbies' will be in the same boat, as you are complaining about now with Team 38910.

It's all the same on every team that has already been started and established.

With that way of thinking, lower-rung people on every other team should start their own, diversify, and then they can compete for a little while too...then rinse, repeat when leaders are established and 'newbies' coming in can't catch up...again...

I'm with Paul, in that I'd rather join up with an established team, that is still making strides into the Top of the top...rather than a team that has made great strides, definitely, but will eventually hit that proverbial brick wall, and that will be it.

The sad reality is.... without us all forming a covert team to enter into the businesses
of the top 50, and change over all their computers, 38910's days moving up are numbered. Really BIG numbers too.

Moving up substantially is IMPOSSIBLE. Those top teams are folding at rates that make catching them within even ten YEARS impossible. Considering the accomplishment of ~61, from a rag tag group of Mac Fanatics, it's still an impressive feat.

Note to those people who "make no contribution to 38910" (he said it!) - you can make a HUGE contribution to 48057!

AND, if you spell your name EXACTLY like it is for 38910, (unlike me...I used a capital J for 48057, without realizing it) - your TOTAL points will carry with you. So as an individual, you can still be among the best in the world! Being #5000 out of 500,000 is no slouch thing to boast.

(yeah yeah... we know. You're #90 in the world..... BUT WHAT HAVE YOU, personally, ever CURED?)

I can at least boast that I've cured some bacon once. (OK... cooked it and cured it of parasites, but it's still a cure! And it made for part of a nutritious breakfast!)

Name is not case sensitive. YOUR stats are the same with either spelling. Including the points you donated to some biology lab by transposing the 8 and 9 for the old dealmac team! :-O

Exactly Jimmy! Doesn't matter if I was the first or last. So it is inconsequential for me to worry about new people joining and challenging my spot. I'm not worried. I say 'bring it on'! ; )

I started a few months later than everybody else...and was at least 12-18k behind everybody. Anybody can catch up to most everybody on the team.

If I really wanted to (and believe me, have thought about it)...I could easily join 48057, and take over that top spot too within decent amount of time. I have plenty more CPUs to turn on. Being at the top doesn't matter to me, as much as the team cutting deeper into the standings.

I'd think about switching to 38910, but now that I got "48057 for life" tattooed on my chest it just doesn't seem like an option anymore.
