keyboard shortcuts not working
#1
all of my keyboard shortcuts stopped working.

No problems with apple menu commands, but no keyboard commands work.

Have run Diskwarrior, safe boot, applejack to no avail.

If possible would like to repair.

Also, having a problem with distorted sound from computer.

Would appreciate any help.

Have you checked System Preferences> Keyboard> Keyboard Shortcuts?

You covered one of my standard kneejerk suggestions with Safe Mode, have you tried a new user account?

Check the Universal Access system pref. I have some users here who sometimes accidentally perform an odd keyboard shortcut that enables one of the funky Universal Access features.

Okay, that's weird. I'm running 10.6.8 on the Mac I'm sitting at right now, and it's in the 4th row (System), the last icon on the right.

so maybe for you it's called "Accessibility"?

It is now called Accessibility, but everything appears to be normal in that system preference.

Appreciate the effort to help.
