I still remember my late Mom dragging me into this guys wholesale clothing outlet for hours at a time.
My niece worked for him for while. I remember seeing him around the town where I grew up but didn't
know him personally.

It's a really great rags to riches story.

Maybe Elon Musk will buy it, or maybe Jay Leno.
I hope it fetches a high price.

Bless 'em. Kids that keep their father's legacy of charity alive. And a cool story.

(My family does the same thing... We donate to a wildlife sanctuary my Grandfather helped found. Every year. )

That really is cool. I see so many families go into money-grub mode when a family member dies that it's good to see some generosity. And it's one of my favorite ferraris too. It's everything a ferrari should be. If only I had an extra 14 really large ones... kj.

Wild Bill Hickock's Model 2 S&W pistol, the one he was wearing when he was assassinated, goes up for auction this fall. There is only one.

The number of true commissioned NART Spiders is still disputed; Chinetti ordered 18, and had nine delivered; those nine have been thoroughly documented.
This car is one of those nine, and has unimpeachable provenance. As for the others...
There are different designations for the car, but each real one bears a single "275 GTB/4*S" data plate, as well as "275 GTB/4" stampings elsewhere.

"A second puzzle concerns the number made." For every Chinetti Tipo 275 GTB/S*4 N.A.R.T. Spider that left the factory, at least two still remain in existence.

Unreal. Any idea what charity it goes to? I thought I saw something about orphanages, but now I can't find it. kj.
