I got tried of the problems I had with aftermarket cartridges. Leaks. Poor print quality. Components not holding up as well. Just not worth the savings, especially if you use discount codes and such to reduce the price of OEM cartridges.

But, if I were to purchase aftermarket or remanufactured cartridges I'd buy them from tonergreen.com. The prices are fair and the toner cartridges I bought from them for an HL-4040cn. They were remanufactured Brother cartridges. Funny, they performed well. Solid print quality. No issues whatsoever. Yet, the brand-new out of the box cartridges for the HL-4040cn gave me nothing but trouble. Go figure.
