Another phone question...how to transfer contacts to iPhone
#1
I currently have a Pantech "Verse" cellphone and I'm planning on getting an iPhone 4.

What would be the best/easiest way to transfer my contact list from the Verse to the iPhone?

You might be able to export the data using this:

Unless you have a way to get the data off of the old phone, you'll soon look like this:

I'd recommend that you import or manually enter the data into the Contacts app in OS X. Then you can copy that to your iPhone. The added benefit is that you can then access your contact info from other apps on your Mac(s).

Some cellular providers have an app that lets you 'back up' your contacts to their servers, and then provide an app to populate your contacts into your new iOS phone.

Verizon did that for me. It was nice. And I then cleaned up the garbage with my OSX Address Book.

I *STILL* miss the clarity and cleanliness of the Palm desktop though. Cry

If you can get all your contacts into Gmail/Google Voice then you can sync the new phone to Gmail/Google Voice and get them that way. I think that is how I got mine from my Palm Pixi to my iPhone 4.
