Help!! with annoying "feature" in OS 10.5.8
#1
Hi, all, I am hoping that someone can tell me the name of the annoying "feature" in OS 10.5 (Leopard) that makes the window in which you are working jump, deselect and show the filename in the center. I thought it was Spaces. I turned off Spaces in the preferences, but no luck, my little Photoshop window continues to skip all over the place and tell me its name (I KNOW THE ^&$@%* NAME ALREADY!)

Can anyone tell me what the heck this thing is, and how do I get rid of it and salt the desktop so it will never come back again?

Thank you. I have had it with this computer. (It's my work computer.)

Cheers, everyone, Gutie

Exposé. Been around since Panther I think. Don't know if you can disable the feature completely. Check the preferences for requiring fn key press in conjunction with F9 and F10.

Edit: Just checked Snow Leopard preferences and yes you can disable Exposé. Assuming 10.6 is the same as 10.5. Ignore the prior fn key tip.

YMMV... This is done in the Terminal, so if something goes wrong don't blame me...

defaults write com.apple.dashboard mcx-disabled -boolean YES
