Is there a way to disable that stupid album collage mode thing when i turn my phone the wrong way? I despise it. I cannot get it back to the song controls. Obviously it's set off by the way I hold the phone but returning the phone to its original position does not dismiss it.

You can disable it completely for the whole phone. Not sure about just that specific "feature"....

Yeah...that's about what I found.

It wouldn't be so annoying if it would go BACK to normal once you righted your phone. But it persists to where mostly I just quit the music app and relaunch it.
