Whoa!! Wild Ride For A Local Family In My County Yesterday!
#1
Apparently they were driving home from their holiday vacation and encountered a whiteout on the interstate. Before the driver could react, he slammed into a semi and got stuck in the truck's bumper. The car got dragged for 16 miles before the truck was pulled over. Truck driver was unaware of his "extra" cargo during the whole ordeal. It took an agonizing 30 minutes from contacting 911 to the truck pulling over.

Luckily, just minor injuries, but dang, it sure could have turned out worse for them. :eek2:

Slow down when encountering the whiteout! I am still amazed when I see idiots driving at speed in fog, heavy rain, snow...
I would like to have rear brake lights but in MI they are illegal, like neon lights installed on undercarriages. The State determines rules for lighting on vehicles.
Now, many folks have vehicles with rear fog lights but don't know what they are or know they have them and some drive with them on all the time. We had them on my wife's '02 Volvo but she took it in for work and they told us the rear fog light had to be disabled! I checked to see if they merely pulled the fuse but no such luck. It was disabled somewhere in the system. Silly...
