I remember watching a news show a few weeks back (before the Democratic Convention) where the "analysts" talked for several minutes about how much Clinton's low favorable ratings were really dragging her down. They kept citing one poll in particular (probably their network's poll). I couldn't help but wonder what Trump's favorable ratings were in the poll and, finally, just as the segment was about to end, one of them mentioned that Trump's numbers were 1% worse than Clinton's. They seemed to be completely oblivious to having just swam with the "Hillary really has a problem with people liking her" meme so as to look like they knew a lot for a few minutes.
Anyway, I noticed on HuffPost Pollster that this is the current favorability numbers (these are averages of many polls):

How much you want to bet that we will keep hearing talk from the talking heads that Clinton is essentially seen as just as unfavorably as Trump. Can't let a good meme go to waste - especially when they feel like it helps them give the gloss of impartiality in a campaign where one candidate truly is a horrendous choice and the other is pretty much a typical politician whose policy positions people may or may not agree with.
