After 67 years as the voice of the Brooklyn/Los Angeles Dodgers, today is his final home game broadcast, with his final broadcast scheduled for next week.
Bon voyage, Vin, and thank you for 67 years of greatness. No matter what you think, we were the ones who were lucky to have you. Enjoy retirement and spending your remaining time with the family you love so dearly.

With the unique distinction of never being a "Homer." Total professional with the resonant honey voice.

I remember listening to him as a little kid in the late 60s and from my perspective, he had already been on the job 'forever' (he started 12 years before I was born). What a career!

Not so fast, bfd. Vin's final six games will be called from the road, the first three from San Diego. Word is that Enberg extended an invitation to Scully to stay at his home during the series, to help him avoid the mob of fans that invariably congregate outside his hotel during road trips.

Truly amazing run. Scully! Love the guy and it seems like that voice has been around for centuries.

Not much of an exaggeration to round up 67 years to a century. The last time Vin wasn't calling games for the Dodgers regularly, they were still in Brooklyn.
