About to see how good my health insurance is
#21
I found out how good mine was last year. My out of pocket max is $9,000. I spent a total of 18 days in the hospital last year and two surgeries. Just the hospital bills alone totaled about $275,000. I had a handful of charges that my insurance company didn't cover because of the way they were billed, but we're only talking a couple of hundred dollars total for those. Funny thing is, the first stay was 8 months ago and I've yet to get the actual bill. I got the EOB from my insurance company about 5 or 6 months ago, and I know I'll owe about $5,000. I've paid around $4,000 so far to different doctors and labs, etc.

The only thing good about getting old is Medicare and my Blue Cross/Blue Shield.
Haven't had to pay one cent for anything other than my prescription co-pays since I turned 65.

.....you are also eligible for Senior Citizen discount movie tickets and for discounted meals in most restaurants........
