Down in the far southwest corner, today it's so green it hurts. And unless it rains again soon, it'll turn yellow, then brown by mid-April.

Im 5 hours north, and all the hills around the SF bay will be brown in no time... just drove from Sac to So Cal, couldnt remember the last time the hills were that green.

But not all of them are... HWY 5 starting just south of Stockton they are still very "golden brown" all the way to the Grapevine...
