IOS Notes Password

I had no idea it was possible to protect a Note with a password until a friend told me about it today. Do you think this would be a secure enough location to store my passwords for various websites?

My guess is not. why not use something that we know does work, like 1password or lastpass?

I don't know about the level of encryption to the contents of the note, and whether it could be exposed to a hardware level attack, or an attack by a compromised app, or by a hacker in the middle attack say interrupting a sync to icloud.
