JBL Bluetooth Speaker and Garageband Macbook pro..no sound

I want to monitor a few things through a JBL 'Charge' Bluetooth speaker..

Everything is working fine in other areas on my comp (2013 Macbook Pro-Mavericks)..sound is good and fast and juicy..

I went into Preferences in Garageband..picked the JBL device for Output..

Not getting any sound..the sound IS, however, coming out of my computer's speakers..

hmm..help..been tapping and clicking around in SysPrefs and whatnot..can't figure it out..

Did you check Sys Prefs/Sound/Output? That is the setting that rules.

I did, Model..the JBL was recognized and selected..

I got sound one time in Garageband but it was severly broken up and weird sounding..this was when i selected "system setting" in Garageband prefs..

then i couldn't get it again..

k...got it..mostly by bumbling..seems like i had the successful settings in place previously..could have been a turn off and then turn back on.. of the JBL device..i forgot what happened, i was long and deep into confuciusion.

fwiw, with BT devices (and printers) I often just delete the offending device and add it back.
