Asteroid Bennu from close up - link to pic
#1
The real thing.

NASA has already released photos of OSIRIS-REx taken with the craft’s NavCam 1 navigation camera on January 17, 2019 from a distance of roughly a mile (1.6 kilometers) above its surface. Now, NASA has released a photo taken on June 13 from a circular orbit of just 0.4 miles (690 meters) above Bennu—described as the closest a spacecraft has ever orbited a body in the Solar System.

Any of you try looking at the 3D pix to see it in stereo?

Do you mean the side-by-side pics you posted above? Yes, I can see it in 3D, which is unusual for me. My eyes don't usually focus well on these types of images, or my brain refuses to process the image in ways that others have no problem with. But as for your images, I had no problem focusing on the middle, 3D image.

Thanks for posting these.

I saw them/it in 3D.

First, I held my palms together, vertically, next to my face so that I saw each image separately.

Then I saw the directions and did that, and again, saw the 3D image.

I would have rather seen it through a View Master.
