I am just amazed at the price of vinyl now. I remember walking through a Target about a year ago and vinyl was about $30. Seems to have dropped in price a little.
I think back in the day (90's) - full new albums were about $10-12 (I usually bought 12 inch singles or used or promo versions).
I went to an estate sale recently that had the vinyl LP's priced at $25 each. "Good luck with that," walked out.
We stopped yard saling about 10 years ago but one of the last ones I went the lady had huge
plastic container with near pristine albums stored vertically. She was asking $3 or 4 a piece for
them I offered $30 for the entire collection and she took it. Had too have two people carry the
container down to our vehicle because of my back but there's some pretty good stuff in there.
I think my vinyl collection is up to about 250-300. I still cherish my Masterpiece vinyl classical
albums the most I bought when I was a teen. My Mom was pleased to see me buying classical
music. I was into everything but disco and country though back then.
Just thought about it I still have that Pioneer PL-530 turntable that needs to be restored.
