What a difference a good internet modem makes
#1
Been dealing with some 'ok' internet at my house, but it started being flakey. Was terrible on Sunday.

Ended up having the cable tech come for a house call, he redid the to-the-house connectors (was not weather-proofed at all), removed a 'filter' (to prevent us from tapping into cable I think), and updated our modem.

I know this won't last, but the lack of latency is quite noticeable even though the 'fast.com' score isn't all that much different.

Yes, I'd definitely go for lower latency before higher throughput.

A good tech will make all the difference too.
