What’s your favorite/best outside door insulation/sealer?
#1
I mean the stuff you would use to keep cold air from sneaking in through the space between the door and the jamb/frame. We get plenty cold air here in winter, and every year when it’s breezing in (particularly near the door handle and/or deadbolt) I resolve to fix it when it gets warm enough to.

This year I’m trying to finally get ahead of the game, and it seems like there are many ways to skin that cat. Anyone have any (visually acceptable) favorites?

I used something like this but it has to be adjusted just right or the door won't latch.
It also wasn't this expensive.

What you are referring to is called weatherstripping. Insulation is a completely different animal. The best, longest-lasting door weatherstripping is the spring bronze kind:

A plastic easy to install version is available (M-D V-Flex) but doesn't last near as long:

Door bottom weatherstripping is highly dependent on the application.

Bought the item below 4 years ago, and it has worked perfectly. Haven't noticed any deterioration. And cut way down on air infiltration.

Different circumstances call for different remedies; for what we needed, this was perfect. And it came with a sealer for the front door and the back
