Fresh OSX went wrong...
#1
My Fresh OSX install killed the contents of my HD. Sad

I have backups of my photos, and music, but could someone please tell me where to put the appropriate "iTunes playlists" and "iPhoto playlist" files so that the music and photos are still organized?

You did the fresh install to try and get rid of the .dmg issue you discussed in an earlier post. If you backed up your entire user folder it should be easy.

IPhoto - drag-option the folder iPhoto Library located in /user/Pictures/ of your backup
to the following folder on your fresh install /user/Pictures/

iTunes - drag-option the folder iTunes located in /user/Music/ of yuour backup to the following folder on your fress install /user/Music/

drag-option means to press and hold the right mouse button as you select the folder, then whiie holding the button press and hold the option key and drag the folder from one location to another. A small + shoud appear near the cursor indicating you are making a copy of the original folder.

The iTunes folder contains your music, iTunes playlists.
The iPhoto Library folder contains your photos and iPhoto albums.

Can you now work with the .dmg files?
