Quest type game for Xbox?
#1
First off: I'm not a gamer, but I'm trying my best to occupy my kids (tween/teen) who mostly play sports games. And Minecraft. Any ideas for Xbox One games that may appeal to that demo?

I heard that Mythic Quest: Raven's Banquet has a cool new shovel tool!

Have you looked at The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim? It might be more adult than you want. It is rated M, 17+. Part of that is because it's possible to download mods to do things like make everybody nude.

IGN used to be one of the better review sites, they have sections for every platform and genre but they don't have a filter for age rating.

Baldur's Gate maybe? I asked a similar question before the holidays. Didn't get a good answer here - apparently our forte is closer to quibbling than gaming. :-)

I don't have kids or know anybody in that age group so it is a little tough trying to recommend games for other people's kids. The hot new game this Spring is Animal Crossing New Horizons, but it is Nintendo Switch only.

I'd subscribe to XBox Game Pass(100+ games), at least for a month, and see if there's something there they'd like.

Do you know if The Witcher is on the "basic less expensive" game pass? My son wants it and my friend is telling me the Game Pass is the way to go.

The Witcher 3 is on the less expensive game pass. (it doesn't include the DLC)

I don't know how old your son is, but it's not a game for younger children.

Also coming soon to Game Pass: Red Dead Redemption 2

He's 12-1/2ish... so, might not be good for him... but, maybe "I" want to check it out. Smile
