Note that this is not a flat-panel, but rather a 120 pound beast. Bet it has a great picture, though.

Just curious, is the screen 1024x720, 1280x720, or 1360x 720? I could not find it in the specs or on the Phillips website.

You can't find it because it uses a CRT! There are no pixels involved.

CRT's can be better for reproducing a wider color gamut, but with cheaper models this is no guarantee. Certainly geometry is always a concern with CRT's as well. I am a fan of the HDTV CRT owning one 27" Samsung myself, but I am not impressed with this deal. I bought mine in 2004 for $500, now we have this deal on a slightly larger but equally bulky CRT 2 years later for only $100 less? LCD, Plasma and rear projection have dropped like bricks over the last 2 years. This just doesn't seem worth it.
