shelf support screw broke in our 1999 vintage Kenmore fridge, and w/ nerve damaged appendages, it's no longer something I could DIY, so called Sears repair depot, and it was triple digits to replace the broken screw... except that the first idiot that came out couldn't do it, and the second guy that came out almost a month later and finally got it right, had to borrow my tools in order to extract the old screw remnant. anyhow, the final repair has a 90 day warranty, and yesterday we got a warranty solicitation for $100 to cover the fridge for a year from the original service call; effectively amounting to 8 months coverage. we're gonna pass. on the flip side, we did opt for $61 to cover the much newer dishwasher (which btw, cost more than the fridge) for an add'l four years...
