Anyone here do Keynote presentations alot? Need new remote
#1
I used to do lots of presentations on Keynote, but stopped a 2 years ago. I'm now doing a bunch this year, and I want to get an improved wireless remote. The last time I checked, the best one was a Keyspan Presentation Remote:

It never worked all that great. Most of the buttons simply didn't work on a Mac.

Has anyone found one they love?

Yes. bfd's Kensington's Pocket Presenter Wireless Laser has never let him down, and it does what a clicker should do - change the slides forward or backward from across the room so you don't have to stand in front of your computer.

It also has buttons for "darken screen" and a laser pointer. The usb dongle slides into the presenter (just be careful not to put it back incorrectly - upside down - it's easy to do, and it'll be stuck so tightly you'll need vise-grips to get it out - bfd's still worked after that happened, too. It's pretty sturdy), and they may have improved on it since bfd got his two years ago.

You can get one for less than Kensington's MSRP of $69.99 by googling. Seems like even the Apple Store had them at one time, for about $45.00

(Circus City's price is almost half the MSRP - it may be a newer model, see pic below … http://tinyurl.com/2fceo5 )

Here's another opinion…http://meyerweb.com/eric/thoughts/2006/05/04/presentation-remotes/

Either Apple Bluetooth mouse make a nice presenter also. Not elegant-but simple with dual use.

I use my bluetooth mobile phone with Salling Clicker. Love it.

Cheers,
