As of today I am carless. Donated it to the local food bank. Feels pretty good. Certainly won't miss paying the insurance premiums.
Didn't seem worth it to import the car to Canada. Since becoming a Canadian resident I am no longer allowed to drive it into Canada. The truck has been sitting in the United States undriven this winter.
As this is close to the Canadian border, one can imagine that the weather hasn't been that great for a truck sitting idle. I'm happy it will be used on a regular basis.
Admittedly, my wife still owns a car. I'm getting around by bicycle, bus, and feet, just like I've been doing for the past couple of years.
