Regarding Trump’s supposed success and fame as a businessman, I was amused at one little bit of testimony from the Trump trial:
That wouldn’t do. So (Cohen testified) Trump gave him $50,000 to give the company to juice his ranking. (I heard somewhere it was as cash in a paper bag, but can’t find a link to support that now). How would this company do so?
This guy Trump is a sham, from top to bottom. Always has been.
…and because Trump had stiffed Cohen in his most recent Christmas bonus, Cohen kept $30K of the $50K for himself. No honor among these thieves.
Here’s the kicker: Red Finch could still only get Trump up to number 9 before CNBC killed the poll altogether, so Trump stiffed Red Finch on further payment for their work. You lie down with dogs, you wake up with fleas.
miley-laughing001:
Ex-Donald Trump lawyer Michael Cohen on Monday elaborated on efforts to boost his one-time boss's ego by hiring a tech company [“Red Finch”] to artificially inflate his fame on a [online, presumably] CNBC poll.
… According to Cohen, the company was hired because Trump was near the bottom of the list in a CNBC poll asking who the "most famous businessmen" were "in the last century."

Through the acquisition of IP addresses, RedFrinch said they create an algorithm to raise Trump in the polls," said Lawfare's Tyler McBrien. "Trump wanted to end up as number 1, but Cohen and RedFinch thought that would be too suspicious, so they settled on Top 10. Kind of like when you're cheating on a test, everyone knows to flub some it to make it believable."
