"California is now a military base. The governor will report to General S. Inkophant for debriefing."

Only Congress can establish bases, but watch the GOP just ignore that.

Let me guess, He'll name it after George Van Horn Moseley. A former Army general that is right up Trump's alley.

  • Mosely was fiercely anti-immigrant and antisemitic. He spoke in support of fascim.
  • He was twice recruited to lead coups against FDR
  • Moseley supported admitting refugees from Nazi Germany, but added the provision "that they all be sterilized before being permitted to embark."
  • Moseley also tried to lobby the New York National Guard adjutant general to "cleanse" the state forces of all Jews and persons of color
  • Mosely compared Jews to syphilis

Not a new base. He/they are declaring a small strip along the border is now part of an existing base in Arizona. :censor:

Congress still decides the extent of a base, not the President. But as I wrote above, the current GOP isn't going to do anything about it. Being declared part of a military base has consequences, such as reimbursement of current property owners.
