Will you be purchasing a new iPhone before the Tariffs kick in?

I bought a iPhone 16E about thirty days ago, to replace an iPhone SE. The SE's battery was needing replacement and having a bit more screen real estate on the 16E has been very nice. The new 16E is a very nice phone and I'm very happy with it.

Replaced my old iPhone 13 Pro with a 16 Pro at christmastime. Won't be needing another one until they come out with telepathic control and 3D holographic displays.

No. Due to a weak battery in my iPhone, two months ago I replaced that iPhone SE (2nd generation) with a new to me iPhone SE 3rd generation. That “new” iPhone fits my budget and needs quite well! I much prefer the smaller size iPhones!

I recently replaced a 7 with a 13. Potential tariffs were a small consideration in the decision, but I would have likely bought anyway. Tariffs were a larger consideration for our recent car purchase. A decision that could have been put off for at least a few months was moved up.

Since we are all on the "trade in" cycle and got new 15s, will need to wait until the 18 before updating -- at which point we will do the free trade in, pay tax, and walk away with new phones...

Repeat again 3 years later with the 21, then 24, then 27, 30, 33, 36, 39, 42, 45, 48, 52, 55, 58, 61, 64, 67, 71, 74, 77, 81 and iPhone 83... in 2088. At which point my youngest daughter will be 81... and hopefully AT&T will still be around. Wink

Already done a few weeks ago. I upgraded from a Xr to a 16 Pro.

The potential tariffs and price increase were a minor consideration, but mostly, I just thought it was time for an upgrade.

It’s a trap but I fell for it. Logic dictates my 8, which I had already had Apple put in a new battery was warning me about the weakening battery again so bit the bullet and bought a 16 pro max. I will miss the handy size of the 8 but wanted to check out the lenses and am ready for the extra real estate for my weakening eyes. That and some of my apps would no longer update and I wanted to use the AirPods as an available hearing aid.

Oh, and my 16 Pro Max was ordered from T-Mobile kiosk at Costco, marked made in India.

I’ve only bought a “new” iPhone. Release day of the original iPhone. Ever other one has been preowned. Recommend swappa if you are looking to upgrade. My current 12 Pro does more than I need.
