Aluminum quick connect stuck to brass end of the hose
#1
My better half connected one of those Sun Joe quick connect adapter to a garden hose that has brass piece at the end. I have no idea how long it's been attached, month or maybe all winter. Galvanic corrosion makes it impossible to remove at this point. The brass piece is hexagonal and I can hold with a wrench, the Sun Joe is round and has a plastic sleeve and when I turn it, the plastic sleeve slips on the round Aluminum piece.

I need to remove it since the quick connect no longer works properly.

Is there a chemical I could use, or should I carefully cut it open?

Or do you have a better idea?

Something like WD-40 or Liquid Wrench might free the corrosion. Also cut or break the plastic sleeve off to be able to get a grip on the aluminum part of the connector. Good Luck.
