Viewsonic LCD blacks out every so often...

Viewsonic V712b connected via VI to PPC mac mini 1.42. OS 10.4.9.

LCD blacks out for about 3 seconds once every hour or so.

Any suggestions?

bad cable or loose connection, I'm guessing. mine does that as well, from time to time, but I've been too lazy to figure out exactly what's going on.

I have a VGA/DVI adapter and could run the LCD via VGA and see if that helps. If it does that is stupid, but whatever. It's not my machine

I have dual Samsung LCDs and they do it from time to time
