My AlBook took a tumble and must've landed on the hinge. The backlight now is out, but it seems to be fine otherwise (except for a dented hinge).
My initial googling suggests that the problem is likely related to the wire in the hinge. Secondary, less likely problems include the backlight itself as well as problem on the board.
Has anyone done this repair? I've done a complete disassemble on my TiBook and a Clamshell iBook, so I'm not afraid to get my hands dirty, but I was wondering if anyone here had attempted this specific repair in the past.
