Video Card Resolution Support Question

That's pretty good support considering that it is a fairly old product - nice job

Thanks to everyone else here as well !

Now the HARD part. I have to email my brother-in-law and tell him my last email was WRONG !

:- )
Even better when you consider that it was an OEM card and they never were under any agreement to support the card - that is apple's job...

Any update on the status of this project? I picked up a Powermac G4 (Digital Audio) Dual 533 Mhz w/ 512 MB RAM and a GeForce2 MX a week ago for $50! I'm actually typing this on it right now.

I plan on using it as a server, but I wanted to have it share a monitor with my new Intel Mac. While I'm sure my 2 month old Mac will support a 20"-22" widescreen display, I was unsure about the Powermac with its lowly GeForce2 MX. I'd love to know if this definitely works before I drop the money on a new monitor... poor student budget, you see.

Hi yorick - welcome to the forum

The DA533 has the same card so it should work for you too. http://www.everymac.com/systems/apple/po...4_533.html

My brother-in-law ordered the ViewSonic VA2026W so we'll find out when it gets here,

If I don't post back to this thread send me a PM in a week or so and I'll do an update.

Thanks for the welcome! I just stumbled across this thread while I was searching for "GeForce2 MX widescreen support."

After browsing through some other threads, it seems like a pretty nice community.

Good luck with the monitor and hopefully I'll see you around the forum.
