file naming question

Is there a utility that can take a bunch of files and "transfer" the names of said files onto a bunch of OTHER files. basically so you can take 100 pdfs and rename 100 txt files the same name?

not that I'm aware of--doesn't mean it doesn't exist, though.

On a potentially related note, I use this great little app. for batch renaming. Tons of options--might it be part of your workflow somehow?

Yep. I use ABFR for basically the same thing. And just made a wonderful discovery. From ABFR's list of tools i found "Rename from a file list". So I made 100 text docs. Than copied and pasted the list of pdf names into another text file. Then used that as the basis for the transmogrification. After some more jiggery pokery I might get what i need.
