WOW! Part Deux. The Hawks are really Jekyll and Hyde.

Another Garden blowout for the C's. I don't really get how the Hawks can look decent one day and high school harry the next. Losing in game 7 by 30 points. Whew. Talk about phoning it in.

The Hawks are a "really" good young team. But they are "young." The Celtics stepped it up big time on defense today. They played ball denial to perfection. They made the Hawks work on every possession. They thought they had them figured out after the first two losses but they didn't. Today they had to remove their dignity and they did.

But.

They Hawks have served noticed. They only won 37 games and were the last team to qualify for the playoffs. That's the east. The Warriors on the other hand, won 48 games and just missed the playoffs. That's the west. I think the Hawks will only get better. The flagrant foul my Marvin on Rondo was also a serve notice gesture. You may beat us, but you're gonna pay the price too. Great series. Now there's no Spearmint to share it with (sigh).

Ugg, the Eastern Conference playoffs. It's like the NIT of the NBA.

The Hawks may be gone but the damage they did will live on. They'd showed conclusively that the Celtics can be beaten. You can bet that other Eastern Division coaches already ordered their copy of game tapes.

As to the West well either the pistons or Celts are as good as anyone in that conference. I'm looking forward to a Lakers/Celts final. The Lakers are a one man show and one man shows never grab that big ring.

The Lakers are a well-oiled machine my man. See ya in the finals. The Celtics have to stay hungry every game. I think LeBron will keep 'em focused.
