FU#2 to IBM laptop question

So installed another hd. XP is installing right now. no problems. I put the drive from the laptop into a case and tried reformatting on my Mac. It got to about 10% and started making these godawful noises and locked up disk utility.

So I'm guessing it was a bad hd. Now I have this nice laptop up and running. I just need to find something to do with it now.

Yeah, that's my problem too. I have a nice x31 TP laptop that I haven't opened in months. I love the keyboard and every time I use it I think "Why can't Apple make a keyboard like this for the 'Books""
