the jazzy version of Armstrong's Wonderful World
#1
For the first time I heard the man's awesome jazzy version of the song on an internet radio station, WWOZ, this morning. Where can I find that song? Also, isn't there such a similar station on the regular commercial radio? TiA

I like Satchmo's version but I love the medley version of "Over the Rainbow" and "Wonderful World" by Israel Kamakawiwoʻole.

WWOZ kicks it; I listen to it via iTunes all the time but it's one of the big things I miss about my old hometown: http://wwoz.org/

FWIW, you can probably drop them an email; they'll know the answer to this.

Are you talking about the regular Louis Armstrong version or the one where Kenny G has the audacity to overdub his crap on top of the Louis Armstrong version?

Less I have mistaken. I think it was Luis Armstrong I heard this morning. The song was slower and more jazzy than the commercial one that we often hear on regular radio station.

Zoidberg,
Man, WWOZ DOES ROCKS! I am listening to it right now. How in the world I did not discover it sooner. This is coming from someone who never really cared for jazz and blues. But WWOZ is definitely different than what I had experienced.
