Quick MobileMe .Mac Question

I got an iPhone last night (it's awesome, by the way!). I bought a .mac package this morning on ebay (saved about $35). if I set up the free trial, will I be able to enter the serial number when I get the box? I'm only asking because they ask for my credit card and I don't want to have to cancel the account and email address to enter my bought serial number.

It should be the same as it was for .Mac.

You sign up for the trial--at anytime during the trial (and even after it is over) you can activate using the number in the ,Mac box.

Doing it this way actually gives you the additional time that was your trial.

I usually buy my renewal from Amazon. a month or so early. When I start the renewal process online, I always get asked for my CC #. I eventually get to the point where I enter the registration/serial number on my kit from Amazon. At the end of the process I have not been charged, my account is renewed, and all is well.
