problems sending email from .mac

I had a great deal of difficultly sending email from my .mac account last week. The little circle in Mail would spin and spin and eventually I would get a fairly general error saying my message could not be sent. I'm getting the same error again this morning. Is anyone else having this problem?

Have you tried using the web interface at me.com?

Yes, web interface is fine. Sending from Mail is also working again. I'm just a little frustrated at the frequent outages lately.
