Multitouch trackpad: WOW!
#11
Muscle memory is a bitch to unlearn.

Only when the new memory is markedly different. Yes, some people will never be able to adapt to change.

But I'm betting that with a little effort, learning the new memory won't be nearly the obstacle you think. I use a trackball with my MB because it's multi-function is superior to the track pad. But after just a few minutes playing with a UniMB the Multitouch track pad started to feel pretty natural.

I have no doubt that I'll be able to upgrade my muscle memory.

I've struggled so far. Granted, my experience to date has been limited to brief sessions at the AS, but I've been surprised by how much I don't like the change so far. Hopefully once I start using one full time things will be different.

Do you use your thumb to click with the old trackpad? Try doing the exact same thing with the new trackpad, thumb clicks where the button used to be- that works fine for me. I don't even notice a difference!
