Help selecting placed/masked image in Illustrator CS4
#1
I've been an AI user since the days of Illustrator 88, but this one has me stuck (and I'm sure there's an easy fix)

When I create a masked image in CS4, the only thing I seem to be able to move is the mask itself. I want to be able to select the image and move it within the mask, but now it seems to be treated as 'locked'. Sure, I can selected the image by itself via drilling down through the layers palette, but I want to be able to select it by the image boundary like I used to.

Any one found a setting or something that I've overlooked?

Thx!

I see what your saying, I can select it by itself in preview but in outline view I can't select it. I ran into this the other day but I wasn't sure what was going on, now I see. I will see if I can figure it out.

I think it's a new way they handle masks. Enabling "isolation mode" seems to allow the editing that I'm looking for to occur.

Now to relearn what used to be an involuntary action. Thanks Adobe Smile
