Automatic Brightness Level on MBP late 2008
#1
Apple, gob bless them, replaced my ailing middle-of-the-line MBP (late 2006) with a (at my request because I need an express card slot) refurb 2.93 1st-gen unibody. So far, leader.

This computer apparently has a sensor that will adjust screen brightness in changing low-light conditions, which I find a distraction. (At least I hope so because if not there is a problem with the screen.) Question: where can I turn this feature off so the screen brightness does not fluctuate?

Thanks!

It's in the Displays menu. I turned mine off as well. Good choice.

Didn't your original MBP have this feature as well? I thought they all did.
