Newbie website host transfer questions

Tiny site, 17MB total. Got a copy of all files and folders on my desktop. Ready to upload to appropriate directory on new host. Go ahead, then point nameservers to new host?

Site (static pages, about 10) was made with old copy of FrontPage I think by previous admin, and new host directly already has FrontPage folders created. OK to replace them with what I have (since some of mine have stuff in them) ?

Do you use any of the FrontPage stuff? If not, don't copy them over.

If the files are uploaded, the host should have a temp hostname for you to use to test it out. Test it, then change the DNS.
