Dell Mini 10v (1024x600) for $229 with free shipping...
#1
In exploring the deal mentioned a few threads down...

http://forums.macresource.com/read.php?1,839361

I discovered I could UNCHECK the Bluetooth option for an additional $20 savings when going through the whole "customize" process.

I have plenty of BT dongles for the times when I'd need it.

I don't have a Discover card, so not sure if the additional savings in the thread mentioned below apply.

Good luck!

Also don't forget to try the free ejunkie 5% off coupon - doesn't cost anything, and may end up saving another $11.45...

SDGuy, thanks for mentioning that again here. I tried it, but it didn't work. Got a coupon error?!?!

Cheers,

Actually regret not having built-in Bluetooth in mine.

Subject line is wrong-- res is 1024x570 something.

I think it varies, newer machines are 1024x600 but have slightly squished pixels.

Oh. Definitely am improvement (the previous res causes some serious problems with buttons missing off the screen).

Black,

These should have the 1024x600 resolution, albeit with the 4% compress (non-square) pixels.

See here...

http://www.mydellmini.com/forum/dell-min...quare.html

I think this was necessary because the physical size of the 1024x576 panel and the 1024x600 panel are the same. In order to fit the extra pixels in, the are vertically compressed (shorter than wide) by 4%.

Some have a problem with this. Me? I'd rather have the extra 24 pixels.

Cheers,

Jem

In my case I don't think I can *really* blame the extra 24 pixels...
