...looks like you also get $5 Amazon Video On Demand credit....they emailed it to me after I placed my order for the blu-ray discs (the $5 credit can be used for Video On Demand or at the mp3 store).....

Well that's just not fair to anyone who preordered Up. Any way to get this deal retroactively?

That is a good deal. I got Up and Monster, inc for $10.98 at target during the coupon frenzy release week.
But that deal is now dead.

Was that Monsters, Inc DVD the 4-DVD set that amazon is offering?

I already have Up in 4-disc glory, and am thinking about up. (And yet, I don't have a Blu-ray player or HD TV).

I *am* wondering- are animation films significantly better in Blu-ray? Is more detail revealed?

...the Monsters Inc at Target WAS the 4-disc set but many stores ran out (I found the Up at Target but could not find any Monsters, Inc at any Target stores. must have sold out quickly)...(Monsters Inc has since been restocked but the price is now $34.XX in Target stores)....

...I have to say that watching HD animation on an HDTV is amazing.....saw Kung-fu Panda in blu-ray and it blew my mind....

Yes. I believe the source material is completley rerendered for BR. That is why the discs are trickling out so slowly.
