During the Black Friday Sales I picked up a couple of seasons of Supernatural for $12.00. I figured, never having seen the show, that since it's in it's 5th season it must have a pretty solid fan base. I'm thinking along the lines of Buffy or Angel here.
So far, it seems to be a monster of the week with very little character development.
Does anyone know if it progresses beyond the monster of the week phase? I hope so, but it's not looking good (I've watched 4 or 5 episodes and am almost ready to give up).

There was a little character development later on but not much. I stopped watching this season when they split it up from Smallville, and FOX put Fringe up against it.

I'm a fan. Season 1 is the weakest season in my opinion. I almost stopped watching then too.

any show that contains the line "Dude, I full on Swayzed that mother" will get my vote every time.

...ugh...tried to like it but I just find the show unwatchable.....might be that McG (the movie director) produces it....?
....not sure but it just doesn't click for me....found myself rolling my eyes often....

But that end-of-show video of Jensen Ackles doing the "Eye of the Tiger" thing was the best:
