Hey, how does Wired force a/the "READ MORE" at the bottom of the copy/paste that I did?

Go to the article and COPY some text, paste it into textedit, and see for yourself.

And it's a smart way for publishers to force you to [do what you should have done]: link to the page, don't quote the article. Common courtesy for copyrighted content.
